Beulah Mae Amsden

GOSHEN — Beulah Mae Amsden, 74, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Penny, at 713 S. Third St., Goshen.

She was born Aug. 2, 1938, to Malcolm and Grace (Hylton) Yates, in Millard, Ky.

On May 29, 1958, she married Richard B. Amsden in Goshen. He died May 10, 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Steve) Minnich and Sandy (Tim) Clark, both of Goshen; six grandchildren, Tabitha (Jason) Dunlap, Karri Minnich, Chris, Amanda, Jacob and Makla Clark; and a great-grandson, Riley Dunlap.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Michael Amsden; four brothers, Tommy, Bert, Clifford and Bill; and four sisters, Thelma, Ruby, June and Jean.

Beulah resided in Goshen since moving here in 1954 from Kentucky. She worked for 27 years at Homecrest in the shipping and warranty departments.

She enjoyed going to the Michigan City Blue Chip Casino and travelling to Las Vegas every year. Her grandchildren were a special part of her life.

Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A 10 a.m. funeral service is set to take place Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Shrock of the First Baptist Church of Goshen officiating.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer’s Association.
