Clifford D. ‘Nick’ Nicodemus

Sept. 26, 1938-Feb. 11, 2013

SYRACUSE — Clifford D. “Nick” Nicodemus, 74, died Monday at his residence.

He was born Sept. 26, 1938 in Elkhart County, to Cecil and Evelyn (Swihart) Nicodemus.

On Aug. 5, 1961, he married Judy Miller.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Sea Nymph, JC Pontoon and served on the Syracuse Fire Department. He also served on the Syracuse Town Board. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church.

Nick is survived by his wife, Judy Nicodemus, Syracuse; two sons, Jeffery (Bernadine) Nicodemus, Syracuse, and Jay D. (Bridgett) Nicodemus, Syracuse; and a sister, Shirley Havens, Millersburg.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, where services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Burial with military honors will follow at Syracuse Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Syracuse Fire Department or the Calvary United Methodist Church.
