Peggy Ann Pfiester

Sept. 12, 1959-Dec. 9, 2012

GOSHEN — Peggy Ann Pfiester, 53, died unexpectedly Sunday.

She was born Sept. 12, 1959 in Goshen, to Mark and Bonnie (Musselman) Pfiester.

She is survived by her two brothers, Robert W. (Donna) Pfiester, Greenwood, and Mark C. (Lisa) Pfiester, Holladay, Tenn.; and two sisters, Jean A. (Bill) Ferrell, Auburn, and Annette M. (Jeff) Rensberger, Kingwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A 1979 graduate of Fairfield High School, she was a student of cosmetology. Since graduation, Peggy has been employed most recently at Carriage, Inc. where she worked for 13 years prior to closure in 2011.

An avid NASCAR fan, she enjoyed a good movie and always had several Words with Friends games in progress.  One visit to her Facebook site would convince you of her love of “capturing that perfect moment” in photographs.  Peggy often had a puzzle book in her hand when she wasn’t at work.  When her schedule permitted, she loved to travel to new places and meet new friends.  She was easy to talk to and never met a stranger.  She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

There will be a time of visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Friends and family will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to drive in procession to Brown Cemetery in Millersburg for a 10 a.m. graveside service. The Rev. Harlan Steffen, a family friend, will officiate.

In accordance with Peggy’s wishes and through her gift, people received the hope of healing through her organ donations.  Within our sadness, joy dwells.  In her death, others will live.

In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested balloons or, if you prefer, a memorial donation to NeighborLink DeKalb County or a charity of your choice.

Online condolences may be sent to www.yoderculpfuneralhome.com.
