Hensches wed

GOSHEN — Erin Breetzke and Doug Hensch were married Sept. 17 by the Rev. Bill Sullivan at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Elkhart.

The bride is the daughter of Agnes and Gerald Breetzke, Goshen.

The groom is the son of Carole and Doug Hensch, Sibley, Iowa.

Amanda Havens, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Stacy Lawrence was the bridesmaid.

Mark Hensch, brother of the groom, was the best man. Joe Hensch, brother of the groom, was the groomsman.

Molly Post, sister of the groom, and Nate Goodwin were ushers.

Mary Rushenberg and Claire Havens, niece and goddaughter of the bride, were the flower girls.

Gavin Hensch, nephew and godson of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Jordyn Myers was the vocalist.

Natalie Evans played the harp and Kate Stoltzfus played the piano.

A reception for the couple took place at Christiana Creek Country Club, Elkhart.

After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Sibley, Iowa.

The bride graduated from Concord High School, Elkhart. She received a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from St. Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, and a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla. She works as a science teacher at Spalding Catholic High School, Granville, Iowa.

The groom graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School, Sibley, Iowa, and from South Dakota State University, Brookings, S.D. He works as an operator at POET Bio-refining, Ashton, Iowa.
