Bakers wed

Julia Klassen and Grant Baker were married May 23 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church by the Rev. Ron Diener.

The bride is the daughter of Eileen and Ray Klassen.

The groom is the son of Julie and Kenyon Baker, Protection, Kan.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Troyer, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Juanita Klassen, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Natasha Diener, Katie Wahl and Rachel Kauffman.

The best man was Luke Baker, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jesse Baker, Chris Burkholder, Kevin Eby and Wes Klassen.

Ushers were Kris Troyer, Russell Klassen, Travis Pollock, Andrew Willems and Andrew Boyer.

The flower girls were Annika Nice, cousin of the bride, and Lena Wanner, cousin of the groom.

The pianist was Marilyn Welty.

Vocalists were Juanita Klassen and Jesse Baker.

The reception was held at the fellowship hall of the church, with Michael and Janice Eigsti, aunt and uncle of the bride, as hosts.

Following a honeymoon in Colorado, the couple resides in Goshen.

The bride graduated from Hesston College in 2007 with an associate’s degree and plans to graduate in 2010 from Goshen College with a degree in elementary education.

The groom graduated from Hesston College with an associate’s degree.

He is a flight instructor at Michiana Aviation, South Bend.
