GOSHEN —
Kari Stembel and Nathan Ownbey were married Oct. 6 at That Pretty Place Bed & Breakfast in Middlebury by the Rev. Kent Bjurstrom of Sugar Grove Church.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Jim Stembel, Goshen.
The groom is the son of Sue Ownbey, Danville, Ill., and Eric Ownbey, Catlin, Ill.
Stephanie Stembel, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Richelle Dick, Stephanie Flora, Ada Pieper and Teresa Myers were bridesmaids.
Rob Elder was the best man. Andy Hensold, Scott Ellison, Joe Streeter, cousin of the bride, and Andy Myers were groomsmen.
Jonathan Stembel, brother of the bride, Josh Pascual, brother-in-law of the groom, and David Ganger were ushers.
Selah Miller, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Camden Pascual, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Vocalists include Ada Pieper, Scott Ellison and the bride.
A reception for the couple took place by the pond at That Pretty Place.
After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Goshen.
The bride attended Indiana Wesleyan University and received a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in psychology from Indiana University South Bend. She works as a teacher at the Crossing Education Center in Ligonier.
The groom received an associate’s degree in Biblical studies from Vision Bible College and works at Stratashops, Elkhart.
